SAGUDAY, Quirino — Scouts from Quirino Council volunteered to offer their services for the 2022 Hybrid Regional Journalympics last July 18-20, 2022, at Saguday National High School (SNHS), Saguday, Quirino.
The Scouts came from three institutions: SNHS, Cabarroguis National School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT), and Quirino General High School (QGHS). 19 Scouts joined the efforts in hosting the event.
The Scouts assisted the school personnel, guests and delegates in various tasks. Among them are accommodating the delegates and guests, maintaining the cleanliness of the venue, and transporting materials.
The 2022 Regional Journalympics was hosted by the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Quirino; hundreds of student journalists from different parts of Cagayan Valley participated in the event. The delegates were accommodated in schools around Quirino Province.
SNHS was selected as the venue for the opening and awarding ceremonies. The school also served as the place of operations for the event’s Technical Working Group. The campus also housed delegates who competed in the Radio Broadcasting and TV Broadcasting categories.
