Scouts celebrate 124th Independence Day across the nation

Scouts from different parts of the Philippines participated in a nationwide commemoration of the 124th Philippine Independence Day.

IN MANILA: Scouts from different parts of Luzon joined the flag-raising ceremony led by President Rodrigo Duterte at the Rizal Luneta Park in Manila. This is in commemoration of the 124th Philippine Independence Day.

The flag disposal ceremony was also held at the same event. This ceremonious activity was led by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, the National Eagle Scouts Association of the Philippines and the Knights of Rizal.

IN CABANATUAN: Rover Circles United 08 facilitated the flag-raising ceremony at Plaza Lucero. Different local organizations in Cabanatuan also attended this event to celebrate Independence Day.

IN PAMPANGA: Scouts and Scout Leaders conducted a Tree Planting Activity at Blessed Park, Sta. Ursula, Guagua Pampanga in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day. They were joined by Lipad PAF Padyak and Mayor Dante Datu Torres of the Municipality of Guagua.

IN ALBAY: The Ticket to Life Coro-Coro Scouting Unit joined the Municipality of Tiwi in celebrating the 124th Philippine Independence Day.

IN DANAO: The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines joined their City Government commemorating the 124th Philippine Independence Day. Spearheaded by Vice Mayor Mix Durano and the local government of Danao City, the event was held at Danao City Hall.

IN CEBU: With the call to “STAND WITH THE PEOPLE,” ACES – Cebu City Chapter held a Scouts’ march around their area. They hope it will inspire other scouts and fellow youth “to stand and be proud to wave our Philippine Flag.”

IN BUKIDNON: Senior Scouts from the Bukidnon council joined the City Government of Malaybalay in celebrating the 124th Philippine Independence Day.
