CABARROGUIS, Quirino—Members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Quirino Council participated in the Province-wide Simultaneous Plogging Activities which were held during the celebration of the Panagdadapun Festival 2022 last Saturday, September 10, at the vicinity of Capitol Hill, Cabarroguis, Quirino.
The group is composed of Senior and Rover Scouts from Quirino General High School (QGHS), Cabarroguis National School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT), Saguday National High School (SNHS), and Quirino State University (QSU) Diffun and Cabarroguis Campus. A total of nine Scouts joined the activity.
The group started with five Scouts at around nine o’clock in the morning. The Scouts picked up pieces of plastic and other trash found in the area around the entrance of the Capitol, before pausing for the Panagdadapun Street Dance which began at 11 o’clock.
The group resumed their cleanup activities around one o’clock; four more Scouts joined them. They helped prepare the sports complex—the venue of the street dance—for the following events of the day. The activity concluded at two o’clock in the afternoon.
The Panagdadapun Festival is an annual local celebration that takes place every September 9-10. The festival commemorates the founding anniversary of the Province of Quirino, as well as the rich culture of its residents.
